Operational evapotranspiration estimates from SEVIRI in support of sustainable water management. |
Abstract | ||
---|---|---|
•First comprehensive investigation of the operational estimation accuracy of evapotranspiration (ET) rates from SEVIRI product.•Evaluation was done for 7 ecosystems and over 2 complete years using collocated in-situ measurements from CarboEurope sites.•Closest agreement for grassland and cropland sites and during summer and autumn seasons and for the most homogeneous sites.•Findings support the product value for regional to mesoscale studies for use in sustainable water resources management. |
