Tomographic principle is now widely known for medical imaging using CT-scan machines. Whereas CT-scan uses absorption tomography by X-rays new areas of applications such as sonar and radar imaging are recently explored for reflection tomography. In this paper, we have shown that same backprojection principle can be utilized for imaging under water objects by sonar and ground objects by inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR). Analysis of results of image reconstruction from data collected in experiments are shown in the paper. |
