Title
Deriving UML Logical Architectures of Traceability Business Processes Based on a GS1 Standard.
Abstract
A good traceability business process BP regards a powerful tool for industrial and manufacturing organizations to pursuit effective productivity. However, there is a lack of a common understanding among its key stakeholders on implementing a proper traceability BP. In this paper, we propose the use of software engineering approaches, namely the design of a process-level logical architecture for the traceability BP. This logical architecture captures the main activities, responsibilities, boundaries, and services involved in the traceability BP. The logical architecture was derived based on a use case model that arose from the requirements elicitation of activities as the ones proposed by the GS1 standard.
