Title
Behavior of the Wind Systems Optimally Controlled at Variable Wind Speeds
Abstract
Because the wind speed is variable in time, the optimum mechanical angular speed takes different values, thus involving a corresponding adjustment of the generator load. Due to the large mechanical inertia, the wind system operation in the maximum power point is possible only at small variations of the wind speed; therefore at large variations of the wind speed, a new strategy is required which is based on capturing the maximum energy over a long period of time.
