Title
Mathematical Modelling and Numerical Simulation of the Dual Winded Induction Generator's Operating Regimes
Abstract
This paper concerns the modeling of a special construction induction generator with two stator windings-dual-winded stator induction electrical machine. Starting with the Park's equations corresponding to the three windings voltages of the considered machines (excitation, load and rotor windings), the modeling procedure involved the transformation of those primary equations in order to obtain a new set of equations describing the currents changes on d-q coordinate system. The new equations allow a simple implementation solution in Matlab-Simulink environment, avoiding the occurrence of an "algebraic loop" error. In order to validate the model, several case study scenarios were performed, related to some generator operating regimes. The validation process involved a qualitative and quantitative analyses regarding the considered main output variables' changes: terminal voltage, active power and reactive power. The proposed model can be used for the validation through numerical simulation of some control strategies with application to the considered induction generator.
