Title
Usability Assessment Of Products Based On Iso 9241 - The Datech Approach
Abstract
This one-day tutorial introduces the "DATech Procedures for Usability Assessment of Products based on ISO 9241 Parts 10 and 11" which help assess whether a product satisfies minimum usability requirements. These procedures have been agreed upon by all DATech accredited usability test laboratories in Germany. DATech is the German Organization for Accreditation of test laboratories. The test procedures cover the conformity with international standards and the assessment of any deviation from the standards depending on its impact on the effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction of user performance. The test can be used to determine whether a human-centred design process as specified in ISO 13407 was effective for a particular product.
