Title
Sizzle Word Analysis from Multiple Internet Media.
Abstract
Many Sizzle words, which are \"tasty\" words such as \"Crispy\", \"Home-made\", and \"Healthy\", are used on the Internet. We regard Sizzle words as being special among Internet media. They differ by season. For instance, people post their impressions of foods on Twitter in real time after eating. On many user-generated recipe sites on the Internet, ordinary cooks such as homemakers use recipe titles incorporating tasty words such as authentic, homey, and spicy because they want their recipes to become popular by virtue of having an easy-to-understand title. Web sites of companies and restaurants use tasty words such as \"healthy\" and \"old-fashioned\" to attract interest to their products. As described herein, we analyzed and compared Sizzle words that represent tasty words and food names used on Twitter, ordinary web pages, and user-generated recipe sites. Furthermore, we analyzed food names and Sizzle words on Twitter based on the month in autumn and time of day. First, we analyzed only food names on Twitter in autumn and over time. Next we analyzed only Sizzle words for each month in autumn. Finally, we analyzed relations between food names and Sizzle words on Twitter based on the month in autumn and time of day.
