This paper shows an implementation of a smart office energy management system that use Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) beacons, smart plugs, and a mobile app, which provides the location-aware energy-saving service without user intervention. Moreover, this paper provides a reasonable realtime energy-saving estimation method by which more effective feedback for motivation can be conveyed to the occupant of an office. According to the experimental results obtained over three months, the proposed system produced meaningful energy savings for PCs, monitors, and lights. |
