Research on the Type of Automobile Controlling Device and Its Ergonomic Design Parameters.
Abstract
Automobile controlling device is an important part of the driver vehicle system. A good ergonomic design of the device can not only provide a convenient and comfortable operation environment, but also greatly reduce any faulty operation and working pressure on the driver. The mainly works on the type of automobile controlling device and its ergonomic design parameters. Firstly, given the extensive domestic and foreign relevant information, we preliminarily categorized the auto control device into manual control, foot control, voice control and eye control in line with the taxonomy of human manipulation. All kinds of specific control device are listed afterwards. We also designed the questionnaire on the classification method, the usage and the influence of corresponding design parameters on drivers' comfort degree. Secondly, by introducing the expert consultation method, we employed fourteen experienced designers in Zhejiang Geely Automobile Research Institute as consulting experts to investigate the preliminary controlling device type and its ergonomic design parameters. According to the investigation result, the type of automobile controlling device and its ergonomic design parameters were determined finally. The research results can provide reference for the design and evaluation of the automobile controlling device. Moreover, it can be model for related ergonomic research in other fields.
