•We propose a probabilistic tractography method named Lasso bootstrap tractography.•The distribution of diffusion signals is estimated using modified Lasso bootstrap.•We compute fiber orientations (FOs) using an algorithm incorporating FO smoothness.•Qualitative and quantitative evaluation was performed on simulated and real data. |
