Title
Mapping Brazilian savanna vegetation gradients with Landsat time series.
Abstract
•Synthetically-filled Landsat time series were used to derive phenological profiles.•Differences in land surface phenology observed between Cerrado physiognomies.•Phenological parameters used as SVM input to map spatial patterns of physiognomies.•Limitations of hard classification approaches for mapping heterogeneous ecosystems.•Approach allows e.g. to monitor ecosystems changes and responses to climate change.
