Title
Polarimetric simulations of bistatic scattering from sea surfaces with 5m/s wind speed at L band.
Abstract
With the rising interest in exploring the possibility of estimating geophysical parameters of interest to oceanographers by global navigation satellite system reflectometry (GNSS-R) of signals scattered from the ocean surface, and the advent of the Soil Moisture Active Passive (SMAP) [1] and the Soil Moisture and Ocean Salinity (SMOS) [2] scientific missions, there is a need to understand the relevant scattering physics at L band so as to provide a physical basis for retrieving geophysical information from ocean-scattered signals.
