Title
Fractal Polarization Signature Of Radar Backscattering Variations
Abstract
A new type of polarization signatures for radar imaging of the earth's cover is proposed. These signatures allow us to determine the degree of spatial variations of the backscattering coefficient on the basis of the fractal approach. The azimuthal dependence of the radar backscattering spatial variations is discovered when analyzing backscattering from a pine forest.
