We propose a novel face liveness detection method by analyzing the sparse structure information in 3D space based on binocular vision and texture information based on LBP (Local Binary Patterns). Structures of real faces have regular 3D structure information while structures of fake faces are usually presented in plane version or curve version different from real faces. Besides, fake faces containing quality defects caused by the printing technology can be detected by using the LBP texture feature. Three liveness detectors utilizing the 3D structure acquired from the binocular vision system, LBP and the combination of the aforementioned two methods are evaluated on a database. Experimental results show that the proposed methods can efficiently distinguish photo and real face. |
