Title
Applying time series Landsat data for vegetation change analysis in the Florida Everglades Water Conservation Area 2A during 1996-2016.
Abstract
•Designed a methodology framework for vegetation mapping and change analysis from a time series of medium spatial resolution satellite imagery.•Evaluated the framework for plant change analyses in the Florida Everglades Water Conservation Area 2A to assist with the Everglades restoration.•Developed a new training sample selection approach for historical images with sparse reference data in the classification.•Developed an object-based quantification approach in change analysis to map the expansion/reduction of a specific class (e.g. cattail in this study).
