Title
Gui Structure And Behavior From Java Source Code Analysis
Abstract
Reconstructing new software system from legacy one is a complex and essential process. To benefit from the new technologies quality and advantages we proposed a model-based approach relies on developing separate models capturing various aspects such as tasks, presentation and dialog structures and behaviors. To do so, the software artefacts must be analyzed and corresponding models need to be created. The extraction process is based on the understanding of the legacy system behavior and structure. However, this direct models construction implies parsing and code analyzing of different user interfaces. The resulting models contain all information presented at a higher abstraction level. In this paper we compare the models generated to conclude the best solution for abstract model representation of the legacy graphical user interfaces.
