Title
Coverage probability of the downlink in heterogeneous cellular networks considering the effect of user clustering around spatially depended social attractors
Abstract
Wireless networks will become more heterogeneous in next generation (5G). We need good models for the spatial distribution of base station (BS) and user equipment (UE) to perform accurate analysis of heterogeneous networks (hetnets). The literature on hetnets UE modeling that includes spatial dependency is still rather limited. In this paper, we introduce a nonuniformly distributed UE model based on the available K-tier heterogeneous network. The user model contains an adjustable parameter p which represents the spatial dependency between BSs and social attractors (SAs) such as bus stops, restaurants, shopping centers and so on. UEs are uniformly distributed around SAs in a given radius. The expression of the coverage probability is derived. The results obtained by analytical expressions closely match the simulation results.
