Title
Architecture for User Experience Tracking and Analytics in National Digital Library (NDL).
Abstract
In this paper, we present an architecture for tracking user interactions over National Digital Library (NDL) portal in the form of user experience. We have proposed xAPI standardbased mechanism for capturing interaction data through Tin Can statements, and storing them in a Learning Record Store (LRS). The statements from the LRS are imported to the analytics module that performs different analytic tasks over the data. The present study has been performed over interaction statements collected over a period of six months. Due to several policies, the user base in NDL is rather limited. Hence, the interaction data is quite restricted and sparse. This paper presents some insights over user interactions on the NDL portal based on the analytics performed over this sparse and limited interaction data.
