Title
Multi-lead medical waveform format encoding rules and its application in a wearable watch.
Abstract
It needs to be studied how to integrate the new standards of medical waveform format resent version published by ISO22077-2015 (MWF) and current executed standards for a suitable and detail application of MWF. Methods: 1. Header Information of ISO22077 about demographics was further encoded with the standard from “serials standard of WS for health information” (WSx), such as WS 363/364-2012 issued by The National Health and Family Planning Commission (NHFPC) of China. A detail definition for the header of MWF, based on the principle definition in ISO22077, was designed as an enterprise grade standard so called Q standard in the standardization law in China. 2. The storage format of multi-lead ECG wave form abided the Alternate Mode Format (AMF) of WMF 3. Format chunk, fact chunk and data chunk including MWF was enveloped all together with the header of wav format and consequently compressed for the whole document with the process of win-zip or rar even, from which the encryption for the data in WMF is processed depending on the need of security. 4. Demonstrations based on the Q standard were practically tested via a wearable watch with more than one lead electric cardiogram (ECG). The collected ECG data was sent to a mobile phone with APP through protocol of blue tooth and then upload to remote server from net. Results: 1. Information of demographics described with WSx is satisfy to the definition for those defined by WMF 2. The uploaded ECG data by the watch involving the text information of demographics and the graph from multi-lead ECG wave form based on AMF is able to be shown in real time or non real time on web pages though mobile or computer browser. Conclusion: Medical wave form of ISO 22077-2015 is suitable for wearable device with further development and application. The inter-operability and the standard of MWF ISO plus standards of enterprise or special organism will take more and more important and urgent role in wearable device accompanied with the remote detection and device widely run into regional health, medicine and family.
