Title
A simulation study of the performance of twin automated stacking cranes at a seaport container terminal.
Abstract
•We develop a simulation model to study yard crane collaboration.•Twin automated stacking cranes stack and retrieve containers to and from a stack.•Cranes collaborate in handshake areas by handing over containers.•We study how collaboration impacts the makespan of cranes.•Variables regarding the handshake area and stacking operations are analyzed.
