Title
Asymmetric retailers with different moving sequences: Group buying vs. individual purchasing.
Abstract
•We study retailers’ attitudes toward group buying under asymmetric demand information.•The informed retailer may reject group buying due to information leakage.•The uninformed retailer may also forego group buying despite obtaining information.•We explore retailers’ preferable moving sequences under group buying.•Both retailers’ incentives to move first weaken with the increased information value.
