Abstract | ||

•DisTeam facilitates decision making in surgical team selection procedure.•It considers history of surgical teams as well as specific characteristics of each patient.•A ranked list of suggested surgical team(s) for a given patient is identified by minimizing potential complications.•DisTeam was tested using intra-operative data from 6,065 unique orthopedic surgery cases.•Our results suggest high effectiveness of DisTeam in health-care setting. |
