•Computerized diagnostic proposals affect the diagnostic accuracy and the interpreters’ confidence.•The accuracy is significantly influenced especially when a single diagnostic proposal (either correct or incorrect) is provided.•Giving the correct diagnosis improves the accuracy while giving a wrong diagnosis lowers the accuracy.•Presentation of multiple computerized diagnoses improved the diagnostic accuracy of ECG interpreters. |
