Title
Vegetation chlorophyll estimates in the Amazon from multi-angle MODIS observations and canopy reflectance model.
Abstract
•A novel MODIS approach to assess chlorophyll and vegetation seasonality is presented.•The approach combines multi-angle and directional information from MODIS with ProSAIL.•It was also adapted to mono-angle images of a tower-mounted hyperspectral camera.•Chlorophyll showed marked seasonal variations across two flux-towers in the Amazon.•For the two towers, the RMSE ranged from 0.355 (Tapajós) to 0.470μgcm−2 (Manaus).
