This paper describes how to construct a simple chaotic robot for drawing based upon active learning in STEAM 2.0. The term STEAM 2.0 refers to extending the conventional design from physical objects to facilitating actions. This approach is taken to teach students to explore the chaotic Chua's circuit thereby observing nonlinear dynamical phenomena. Fabricating a simple low-frequency Chua's circuit and assembling a low-cost mobile vehicle, engineers can now design a chaotic robot capable of accomplishing non-conventional tasks of creating chaotic arts and investigating mathematical patterns. This paper will demonstrate such an accomplishment. |
