This paper describes ongoing work in robotically assisted ankle rehabilitation for pediatric patients with cerebral palsy. Some background on cerebral palsy and rehabilitation robotics is presented. Initial work with a six-degree of freedom active compliant motion platform is described along with some patient feasibility results. The paper concludes with plans for a future clinical trial and the development of a three-degree of freedom motion platform. |
