Title
Compact, battery-powered, eight-channel micro-electrocorticography (mECoG) system.
Abstract
This paper reports on the design and development of a compact micro-electrocorticography (μECoG) system. The system is designed to record 8 channels of ECoG signals. Recorded neural data are sent off the system through a capacitive data telemetry link to the external world. The system has been prototyped using off-the-shelf electronic components and custom-designed electrodes, link, and package. For the verification of the function of the system, function of the building blocks was first individually tested, and then the cascade of the electrode array followed by the analog signal preconditioning block was tested in-vivo.
