iCPBBOCO: A Combination Evaluation Algorithm Based on the Extensional BBO.
Abstract
Biogeography-based optimization (BBO) is a new biogeography inspired algorithm for global optimization, which has shown impressive performance on many popular benchmarks. However, there are still some open research aspects that need to be addressed for BBO. In this paper, we extend the original BBO to iCPBBOCO algorithm (an improved Cosine-Probability chaotic BBO). Furthermore, in order to further improve the performance and enhance the exploration ability, the proposed iCPBBOCO is composed of some excellent strategies, which mainly includes the Cosine migration model, a novel scalable direction mutation model and a decision method of decreasing performance. In final, this optimal combination strategy has been proved the good algorithm performance and the experiment results show that the iCPBBOCO can effectively improve the optimized algorithm performance.
