•Recently, biometrics based on brain signals are becoming very popular.•The brain continuously changes its morphology, connections and vasculature with time.•Here we analyzed the permanence of the CEREBRE brain biometric protocol.•Participants challenged the system again 48–516 days after a 1st challenge.•Even after this time, the CEREBRE protocol yields 100% identification accuracy. |
