A continued fraction expansion different from that in the Bessel filter brings a novel analog FIR filter. The circuit block including a delay component is composed of only passive elements and provides wideband signal processing. Element values are explicitly expressed without a parameter of the degree of approximation. This building block is utilized in FIR filter design together with transconductors. Design example shows that the proposed scheme reduces the circuit area. |
