Title
Wildfire fuel management: Network-based models and optimization of prescribed burning.
Abstract
•Wildfires are a real problem that has a major impact on people and the environment.•The intensity and severity of wildfires can be reduced via prescribed burning.•We develop an optimization framework for spatial allocation of prescribed burning.•Graph-theoretical concepts are exploited in our optimization objectives.•Computational experiments with real and synthetic data are presented.
