The problem of quantizing a circularly symmetric complex Gaussian random variable is considered. For this purpose, we design two non-uniform quantizers, a high-rate- and a Lloyd-Max-quantizer, that are both based on the (golden angle) spiral-phyllotaxis packing principle.
