Miniaturizing the driving circuit of ultrasonic motor (USM) is very important to apply the miniaturized USM. Based on a 0.35μm BCD process, this paper designs a novel 40V monolithic USM driver chip, which includes a boost converter sub-circuit and an H bridge sub-circuit. The peak current mode boost converter provides power supply for the H bridge. And the H bridge with adaptive dead-time controller sends out two square waves whose phase differential is 90o. The structure and the principle of the monolithic USM driver is described in this paper. Simulation results show that the proposed circuit can send out suitable waves to drive a USM. |
