Title
Design and implementation of intermediate frequency control and tuning system (IFCTS) for machine-to-machine (M2M) communication applications
Abstract
Machine-to-machine (M2M) technology that allows machine devices to communicate directly with each other has emerged as a cutting-edge technology for next-generation communication. As its applications become more and more popular, the number of users grows quickly and the quality of service needs to be improved. M2M communication enables ubiquitous connectivity between one or more autonomous devices without or with minimal human interaction. To support massive numbers of machine type communication (MTC) devices, one of the challenging issues is to provide an efficient way for multiple access with minimum system overload. In this paper, an intermediate frequency control and tuning system (IFCTS) has been introduced, designed and implemented. The proposed IFCTS practical design has been tested and its measurements have been demonstrated to show the excellent performance and reliability of the proposed unit to access multiple devices and meet the requirements for M2M communication applications.
