Abstract | ||

We propose a simple Nyquist OTDM scheme based on optical correlation detection using impulse responses of narrow-band photo receivers as imperfect integrators. This scheme overcomes the speed limitation of electrical devices, and realizes high signal-to-noise ratio and high spectral efficiency with the simple configuration. For the first time, we demonstrate the proposed scheme with the baud rate of 187.5 Mbaud using photo receivers with the bandwidth of 4 MHz. |
