Title
On the joint use of nonlinear amplifier and optimal signals with increased duration
Abstract
In this article we present research on joint use of nonlinear amplifier and optimal signals with increased duration. Optimal signals provide reducing of occupied frequency bandwidth and while maintaining data rate. Maintaining data rate leads to significant intersymbol interference. Level of interference can be reduced by synthesis of optimal signal forms. We must determine influence of input power backoff on BER performance for optimal signals. Solid state power amplifier is used in developed simulation model. “Total degradation” was used as metric for energy efficiency examination. Optimal values of input power backoff for total degradation minimization and minimal occupied frequency bandwidth were determined.
