We have developed Flying Cloud Server, which is a drone equipped with a wireless LAN base station and web server. With this system, even in situations in which the electric power infrastructure and/or wireless network have been collapsed due to large-scale disaster, smart phone users will be able to share information and movies of an affected area with others via smart phones. In this study, we have checked a range of connectivity of Flying Cloud Server such as wireless LAN distance and concurrent connection user numbers. Then, we confirmed its effectiveness concerning to sharing information in a disaster situation. |
