Abstract
•We propose a statistical recognition method for radar automatic target recognition.•Similarity preserving constraint is introduced into multi-task learning model.•The method incorporates the discriminative information of different targets.•The method is applied on model prediction based on transfer learning theory.•Experiments for real radar data show our method outperforms other related methods.
