Abstract
•Dynamic guidance and complex motor tasks to the motor imagery paradigm is proposed.•The cerebral ERD patterns and MI-BCIs performance are investigated.•The proposed paradigm improves both ERD and classification accuracy significantly.•Individual classification accuracy is increased by proposed optimal conditions.
