Title
Near ground platform development to simulate UAV aerial spraying and its spraying test under different conditions.
Abstract
•An indoor spraying platform which consists of X-Y direction movement and wind field generation was developed to simulate UAV aerial spraying.•CAN bus was used for communication between central control board with far end controller. CAN bus was the optimal choice for this system. Communication frame defined.•PWM was used for speed control of gear pump and brushless motor. The relationships between PWM and pump-out volume, PWM and propellers rotation speed were calibrated.•An experiment was carried out to test how the platform performs under different moving speed and different wind strength.
