This paper investigates the implementation of cyclostationary model for narrowband powerline communication (NB-PLC) noise on a digital signal processor (DSP) from 40 kHz up to 500 kHz. This implementation is a part of a narrowband PLC channel emulator which combines channel attenuation and noise scenarios. The cyclostationary noise model is based on temporal and spectral characteristics extracted from measurements which have shown the possibility of implementing this noise by linear filters. The proposed implementation is optimized and tuned to be supported by the proposed DSP under the timing constraint of sampling frequency for real time process. |
