Title
Geospatial Preprocessing For Situational Assessment Through Hydraulic Simulations
Abstract
The work described in this paper aims at geospatial data preprocessing which is the first tool in our integrated system intended to situational assessment of water-supply networks in big cities. The integrated system is a tool chain built based on the co-operation of modern information technologies such as simulation modelling in high performance infrastructures, geospatial processing and data mining. Hydraulic modelling of water-supply systems is simulated by the model Epanet. The simulation process in high performance infrastructures collaborates with GIS environment, which is used to prepare scenario input data and visualize outputs after simulations for users. The geospatial elaboration is time and effort consuming daily works of our environmental domain experts. On the ground of this, the aim of our work is to provide a semi-automatic tool, that may help and enlighten the preprocessing stage of our integrated system.
