•A secure and scalable data deduplication scheme with dynamic user management is proposed, named DedupDUM.•The DedupDUM scheme supports user joining and user revocation.•By prevent the unauthorized users from downloading data, the DedupDUM scheme mitigates the abundant communication overhead. |
