Title
A Hybrid WSN Routing Protocol Based on the Average Degree of Neighborhood.
Abstract
In view of the characteristics of wireless sensor network and existing problems of the routing protocol, we have explored the existing sensor node energy consumption management methods, and proposed a new routing algorithm through quantifying the information of two-hop neighbors, namely, two-hop greedy ellipse routing protocol (GERP). Combining location-based routing protocol and region-based routing protocol, GERP is energy efficient which adopts different routing policies according to the average degree of neighborhood. Simulations have shown that GERP is more efficient than typical methods in reducing the sensor node energy consumption.
