Descriptive metadata is typically used to record information about digital artifacts. Collections of descriptive metadata can also be used to study institutional attributes of the cultures that produce, use, and cooperate in provisioning digital artifacts. In this poster we an approach to modeling cultural evolution, phylomemetic analysis, using collections of metadata records that describe digital artifacts. |
