Cloud Computing provides several benefits to users, mainly cost reduction and elasticity. However, researches have shown it is possible to perform side-channel attacks in cloud environments, in order to steal cryptographic keys and other sensitive data, what makes users vulnerable. Researches show there is still need for developing security tools to address this question. This way, this work presents a combination of proactive (analyzing virtual machine instantiation) and reactive (triggering configurable countermeasures) mechanisms in order to mitigate this security threat. |
