Abstract
•A learning-based probabilistic tabu search is proposed for the uncapacitated single allocation hub location problem.•Solutions are represented by two integer vectors, maintaining the feasibility of solution throughout the search.•Two randomized greedy construction procedures are adopted as initialization of our heuristic.•Improvements over best-known results for five large scale benchmark instances.
