Title
Using Fuzzy Grey Cognitive Maps To Model Threat Assessment For Uavs
Abstract
This paper deals with the Threat Assessment problem from the perspective of Situation Awareness. Threat Assessment is a significant aspect of intelligence for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in modern air combat. We divide the Threat Assessment into three aspects according to the framework of Situation Awareness. Based on this model, a Fuzzy Grey Cognitive Map for Threat Assessment in air battlefield is constructed and validated. The Fuzzy Grey Cognitive Map which is proposed recently is a kind of extensions of Fuzzy Cognitive Map. To make a comparison, a Fuzzy Cognitive Map is constructed correspondingly, the results show that Fuzzy Grey Cognitive Map has a remarkable ability to process the uncertainty of the data and system, thus, it can model the real system more exactly. We conclude it is suited for the threat assessment because of the uncertain natures of Threat Assessment problem. What's more, the output of the Fuzzy Cognitive Map shows a better usefulness than Fuzzy Cognitive Map.
