Positive risk of creativity appears when there is an excess of creativity. This paper aims at exploring the concept of positive risk of creativity in software projects. It presents a taxonomy of positive risks as well as case studies of positive risks in diploma software projects. It also attempts to answer the question whether positive risks should be treated as expected results of applying creativity process, or they cause additional threats, or they can be treated as sources of opportunities. It appears that actually all options are possible depending on circumstances and each option requires a different approach to their management.
