This paper considers a coupled continuous-time bi-virus spreading model in networked systems. The main motivating applications are competing fake news stories spreading in different social networks, and viruses spreading in computer networks. We present the model and some assumptions for the system to be well defined, explore the equilibria of the model, and present analysis of the healthy equilibrium. We illustrate the behavior of the model via simulation, presenting topics for further analysis via a number of conjectures. |
